"Noorani" means bright or luminous, with a dual meaning of enlightenment. With Kathak dance as our medium, Noorani Dance is committed to enlightening minds and hearts through the arts.
Founded in 2016, by international Kathak artist, Farah Yasmeen Shaikh, Noorani Dance exemplifies Farah’s unique artistic expression and vision coupled with the classical and innovative influence and style of Farah's Guru, the late Pandit Chitresh Das.
Noorani Dance is a 501c3 non profit cultural arts organization, offering traditional and innovative training in Kathak, professional performances by Farah and the Noorani Dance Company, performance opportunities for our students, and collaborative partnerships and projects across various mediums of performing arts in the US and abroad.
